The project consists of the full renovation of a rooftop construction in Barcelona.
The proposal introduces a lightweight construction system defined by a primary structural frame painted in a warm yellow tone. This chromatic strategy softens the boundary between interior and exterior, creating a continuous spatial perception throughout the intervention.
The envelope is clad in stainless steel, giving the volume a reflective and changing character depending on light conditions. Within this exterior layer, an outdoor kitchen is integrated, allowing the space to function as a habitable extension of the domestic program.
At the same time, the structural system is conceived as a flexible framework that can transform the rooftop into a pergola, providing shade and enabling multiple spatial configurations depending on use and time of day.
