The project consists of the design of a new bus stop in Palafolls. The bus stop is composed of a steel structure and two beams arranged in a cross formation. This structural system seeks balance and acts as the main support for the different window openings.
Wooden frames are organized along the steel beams, forming a series of varied geometries. These elements are placed in a way that explores different configurations and spatial relationships, giving the shelter a lightweight and dynamic character.
The windows are folded and arranged over a metal structure, in balance, conceiving a new space where people can wait for the bus, read, rest… a place to stay and where inhabitants can meet, a gathering space under these “windows in the sky.”
