The proposal envisions a compact building resembling a fortress, while incorporating a new lightweight and ephemeral character that helps create an infrastructure designed as a dynamic hub capable of hosting a wide range of activities, from exhibitions and workshops to community events and sporting activities.

The interior of the building is organized around a key central element: a double-height atrium, which serves as the heart of the space and establishes a visual and functional connection between the different areas of the center. The building's floor plan is divided in a cross-shaped layout, structured into nine quadrants, allowing for a clear and efficient program distribution.

One of the key decisions in the design process is the implementation of an industrialized and lightweight structure. This construction approach allows for the use of point foundations, minimizing ground intervention and preserving as much as possible any archaeological remains that may be found on the site. Furthermore, the building reinterprets the section of historic constructions with thick walls through the implementation of a double climatic façade. This envelope acts as a passive system that contributes to thermal comfort throughout the year.
