The main objective of the project is to design a space for relaxation, in contact with nature, and at the same time for introspection for its visitors. In this way, we propose a building that breaks down to relate to the landscape while opening up to the sky.
The project is composed as a succession of rooms and spaces that are built in a stereotomic way, conferring a heavy character to the building while at the same time rooted in the place
The Thermal Centre is imagined as a space capable of capturing and integrating the sensorial and landscape qualities, as well as the passage of time, of the Roman Baths of Bande.
“With its roots in all ancient civilisations across the world, earth construction is gaining ground as a sustainable, economic alternative to concrete”
The distribution and geometry of the project, organised in a concatenation of rooms, allows a stereotomic project to be defined where the main structure of the building is its load-bearing walls, in this case delimited by each room.
